The IT Services Web Group provides a number of web related services to choose from:
Support Services
We offer a variety of support services to the UCD community.
Application Support: We offer technical support on recommended applications when used appropriately. Examples include Site Builder (for CMS), Dreamweaver and Contribute.
Technical Support: We provide technical support by phone, email or in person when necessary for web developers. Support is limited to those developing with the proper tools on servers supported by the web group, but we try to help others when we can, time and resources permitting.
Website Statistics: We use Webtrends for website usage statistics on our servers and allow our customers to access it. Specific, custom reports are available on a case by case basis.
Search Services: We use Ultraseek to index our websites. All websites on supported servers are indexed so they can be searched through the standard search interface that exists on most of our web pages.
Web Application Development
Our group offers web application development services on a case by case basis to authorized units within the UCD community. Since every web application has different requirements and purposes, the best way to find out more is to fill out a Work Request Form and start a dialogue.
Website Development
We offer a variety of website development services to the UCD community.
Graphic Design: We can modify one of our existing templates or create something from scratch to meet your needs. We can create static pages for you or allow dynamic content using Javascript or server-side technologies like PHP. Design services must be authorized before we can begin. To learn more or to get started you can fill out a Work Request Form and start a dialogue.
Website Templates: We have developed several Templates that you can use for your website. A template allows you to adopt a look and feel without having to know very much about designing web pages. Click here to check out our templates.
Website Hosting
The IT Services web group maintains multiple servers to host websites. These servers are a mix of Windows and Unix, and the servers available to you depend upon the domain (cudenver.edu, uchsc.edu or administration.ucdenver.edu) where your site will reside and your technical requirements. Each server has different requirements for development tools and available technologies.
