Professor/Child Health Clinic Medical Director

The Division of General Pediatrics has an opening for a full-time position as Director of the Child Health Clinic at The Children’s Hospital of Denver, either at the Senior Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor level depending on the interests and career trajectory of the applicant.

Job Responsibilities: Coordinate with pediatric, family medicine, physician assistant and medical student training programs to assure credentialing, electronic medical record training and scheduling of all trainees for the Same Day Sick and Continuity Clinics at the Child Health Clinic. Orient new residents, students and attendings to the Clinic and supervise the Clinic laboratory.  Coordinate morning teaching conferences and complete evaluations on individual trainees.  Make attending and telephone coverage schedules for the Child Health.  Participate on relevant hospital clinical committees.  Clinically supervise trainees in the Child Health Clinic approximately 6 half-days per week.   Attend on the inpatient service, amount to be negotiated. 

Required Qualifications: MD degree and administrative experience in a pediatric practice setting.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in teaching in an academic setting, experience in directing a practice or clinic, special interest or training in medical education.
